    The 39th Annual Purba Medinipur, Paschim Medinipur and Jhargram Youth Training Camp was held at Khannyadihi P.K. High School, Purba Medinipur, West Bengal from 25 to 27 May. The camp was attended by 650 young men from the three districts. Srimat Swami Nirishananda, Course Coordinator of Yoga Education, Guidance and Counselling, Ramakrishna Mission Shikshan Mandir, Belur, inaugurated the camp by hoisting the Mahamandal flag. Sri Jagadish Dey, Secretary, District Monitoring Committee, and Sri Ranjit Mishra, Zonal In-charge of Medinipur Zone of the Mahamandal, also spoke in the inaugural session. In the next evening, Sri Samir Kumar Dasgupta of the central organization of the Mahamandal and Assistant Editor ofVivek-Jivan,spoke on the call of Swami Vivekananda to the youth. After his speech, a musical sketch was presented by Mahamandal members from the Ghatal Zone. A procession was taken out on 27 May. That evening, in the valedictory session, Sri Sukhendu Sekhar Jana, one of the Vice Presidents of the Mahamandal, and Dr. Rabindranath Mandal, Headmaster of the school, addressed the campers.

    The 34th Annual Nadia, North 24 Parganas and Murshidabad Zonal YouthTraining Camp

    The 34th Annual Nadia, North 24 Parganas and Murshidabad Zonal YouthTraining Camp of the Mahamandal was held at Chowberia Dinabandhu High School, Chowberia, District. North 24 Parganas, West Bengal from 25 to 27 May. Srimat Swami Jnanalokananda, Trustee of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, and Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Purulia, inaugurated the camp. The inaugural function began with the reading out of the benedictions of Revered Swami Smarananandaji, President, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur, and Revered Pravrajika Bhaktiprana Mataji, President, Sarada Math, Dakshineshwar. Srimat Swami Sureshananda, President, Bankimnagar Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama and Sri Ranjit Kumar Ghosh, Vice President of the Mahamandal, also addressed the campers at the inaugural programme. 'Bhagini Nivedita', a Bengali film, was shown after the inaugural ceremony. In the second evening of the camp Sri Arunabha Sengupta of the Kalyani Branch of the Mahamandal spoke on the 125th anniversary of the Chicago Speech of Swamiji andits impact on national and social life.Thereafter, the membersof Vivek-Vahini of Chakdaha Branch of the Mahamandal staged a set of short dramas on the life of Swami Vivekananda. In the third evening of the camp Dr. Shiharan Chakraborty of Nabadwip Branch of the Mahamandal spoke on Swamiji's call to the youth for rebuilding India. After his speech a musical sketch on the life of Swami Vivekananda was presented. A colourful procession was taken out on 27 May. A souvenir was published and distributed among the campers. The number of campers was 512.

    The 33rd Annual Kolkata and South 24 Parganas Zonal Youth Training Camp

    The 33rd Annual Kolkata and South 24 Parganas Zonal Youth Training Camp of the Mahamandal was held at Govt. Sponsored Multipurpose School (Boys), Taki House, Kolkata from 25 to 27 May. The camp was inaugurated by Srimat Swami Tatwasarananda, Principal, Ramakrishna Mission Sikshan Mandir, Belur. In the inaugural ceremony the Swami and Dr Bhupendra Chandra Bhattacharya of Jadavpur Branch of the Mahamandal also spoke. In the second evening Sri Birendra Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary of the Mahamandal, spoke on the relevance of Swamiji's Chicago Speech in the present context. Thereafter, Sri Sumanta Basu and Sri Tanmoy Das presented devotional and patriotic songs. In the last evening of the camp Sri Somnath Bagchi, one of the Assistant Secretaries of the Mahamandal spoke on 'India, Vivekananda, and the Mahamandal'. Thereafter, the members of VivekVahini of Tangrakhali Branch of the Mahamandal staged a drama based on the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna. From different parts of the two districts 243 young men participated in the camp. The evening sessions of the camp were open for the general public as usual and were attended by many guests.

    The 17th Annual Howrah-Hooghly Zonal Youth Training Camp of the Mahamandal was held at Jangalpara Krishnarampur Deshapran High School, Jangalpara,in the Hooghly district of West Bengal from 1 to 3 June, 2018. The camp was inaugurated by Srimat Swami Bamanananda, President, Ramakrishna Math, Baranagar, Kolkata. Sri Abhijit Ghosh of the Konnagar Branch of the Mahamandal welcomed the campers. Sri Jaharlal Dhara, Headmaster of theschool also spoke in the inaugural session. After the inaugural programme, Sri Birendra Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary, Akhil Bharat Vivekananda Yuva Mahamandal, spoke on the role of the Mahamandal in rebuilding India. In the second evening Sri Abhijit Ghosh of Konnagar Vivekananda Yuva Mahamandal spoke on the life and message of Swami Vivekananda. Thereafter devotional songs were presented by Sri Aditya Bandyopadhyay. In the last evening, Sri Samir Kumar Maity of Roychak Branch of the Mahamandal spoke on Swamiji's call to the youth,and the members of Payragacha Vivekananda Yuva Mahamandal presented a musical sketch. The camp was attended by 256 young trainees.

    The 15th Annual Purba & Paschim Bardhaman, Bankura, Birbhum and Purulia Zonal Youthtraining Camp

    The 15th Annual Purba & Paschim Bardhaman, Bankura, Birbhum and Purulia Zonal Youthtraining Camp of the Mahamandal was held at Sonamukhi B.J. High School, Sonamukhi, Dist. Bankura, West Bengal from 1 to 3 June. The camp was inaugurated by Srimat Swami Omkaratmananda, Vice President, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Ramharipur, Dist. Bankura. Sri Somnath Bagchi, one of the Assistant Secretaries of the Mahamandal, and Sri Sanjib Das of Hrishi Vivekananda Yuva Mahamandal also addressed the campers in the inaugural session. In the second evening of the camp Sri Somnath Bagchi spoke on the relevance of the message of Swami Vivekananda in the present age. After his speech, devotional and patriotic songs were presented by Sri Dipak Pal, Sri Arup Rantan Bhattacharya and Sri Partha Sarathi Mishra. All of them are active members of the Mahamandal. On 3 June, in the valedictory session, the chief guest was Srimat Swami Bharupananda, Headmaster, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama High School, Asansol. In that evening Sri Ranjit Kumar Ghosh, one of the Vice Presidents of the Mahamandal, spoke on Sister Nivedita and her dedicated work for India - 'Bharat-Sadhanay Bhagini Nivedita'. Next day in the afternoon, a colourful procession was taken out. In the public sessions in evenings, local people came in large numbers. The camp was attended by 428 young campers.

    The Bhogpur Branch of the Mahamandal (Purba Medinipur District) is running its activities properly, which include a students' home. The students of this home sincerelypractisethe methods of life building as advised by the Mahamandal. This centre has also a children's wing, Vivek Vahini, and a wing for for adolescent boys, Kishore Vikash Vahini. On 3 June, they organized a blood donation camp where 69 units of blood were collected.

    Organizers' Training Camp

    Descriptions
    An Organizers' Training Camp was held in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh,on 9 and 10 June for the Mahamandal workers who organize the Mahamandal units scattered over many states of India. The camp was hosted by Visakhapatnam Vivekananda Yuva Mahamandal. In the inauguration session in the evening of 9 June, Srimat Swami Guneshananda of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Visakhapatnam gave an inspiring talk as the chief guest. Kumar Jitendra Narayan Singh, President, Inter-State Monitoring Committee of the Mahamandal, Sri Pramod Ranjan Das and Sri Somnath Bagchi, both from the central organization of the Mahamandal, Sri Alekh Chandra Samal of Jajpur Vivekananda Yuva Mahamandal, Odisha, and Sri Apurba Das, Treasurer of the Inter-State Monitoring Committee, addressed the delegates from different states. Next morning Sri Bijoy Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Inter-State Committee, spoke on the ideals of the Mahamandal and the concept of leadership in that context, and Sri Prasanta Chakraborty of Jadavpur Vivekananda Yuva Mahamandal discussed the power of organization. Thereafter a meeting of the Inter-State Monitoring Committee was held.

Jalpaiguri, West Bengal from 21 to 24 June.The camp was inaugurated by Srimat Swami Shivapremananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jalpaiguri. Sri Birendra Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary, Akhil Bharat Vivekananda Yuva Mahamandal, Sri Samir Dasgupta, member of the Central Executive Committee of the Mahamandal, Sri Dinabandhu Pal, Secretary, Dhupguri Branch of the Mahamandal and Sri Pankaj Adhikari, President, Dhupguri Sri Ramakrishna Sarada Sangha also addressed the campers at inaugural programme. On 22 June, in the evening, Sri Rebati Mohan Sarkar, Secretary, North Bengal Monitoring Committee, spoke on 'Bharat Kanya Nivedita' - India's daughter Nivedita. Thereafter there was a cultural programme. In the next evening Sri Birendra Kumar Chakraborty spoke on India, Vivekananda and the Yuva Mahamandal. After the speech, a musical sketch was presented. In the valedictory session on 24 June, Srimat Swami Purnabrahmananda, President, Ramakrishna Math, Coochbehar, addressed the campers, and the campers shared their experience at the camp. In spite of natural calamity, 337 young men from the seven districts of North Bengal joined the camp as campers.

As agriculture has now become one of the major sources of environmental pollution, the experts from Department of Agriculture, Govt. of West Bengal, mainly focused on 'How to substitute chemical inputs in farming with organic resources'. Questions raised by the farmers were also answered by them.

The seminar was inaugurated by Srimat Swami Mayatitananda of Ramakrishna Mission, Vadodara. The seminar was attended by 134 students of M.S. University.     Relief work of Several Units of Mahamandal

    Descriptions
    Due to the recent floods in Purba and Paschim Medinipur districts of West Bengal several blocks were devastated. Thousands of people had to leave home, crops and property worth crores were damaged. The Mahamandal Units in these areas immediately sprang into concerted action with their limited resources. They distributed dry food bleaching powder, garments, medicines drinking water etc. Some of the units were the first to reach in some flood affected remote areas.

    Roychak Vivekananda Yuva Mahamandal with the help of nearby units of the Mahamandal distributed dry food like puffed rice, sugar, vegetables etc. from 10 August in three villages in remote areas. They also distributed bleaching powder, garments, medicines etc. They arranged medical camps in different villages with 7 renowned physicians. The major bulk of the materials came from general public and central organization of the Mahamandal.

    In the months of July and August the workers of the Mahamandal in Daspur and Ghatal areas immediately started relief works with the help of Ramakrishna Mission Students' Home, Belgharia.

    In HooghlY district Chabbishpur Vivckananda Yuva Pathachakra started relief work with distribution of Phenyl and bleaching powder to the flood affected people at their locality.
